In one of my earlier articles I said, “Life is a celebration — you need to know how to celebrate it.” Some of you may have thought: “Fine, let’s celebrate — but how am I supposed to raise my energy when I’m this exhausted, fed up and sad?” Did something like that cross your mind? Then you need to raise your energy more than ever! If our most fundamental goal in life is to be happy, we must first focus on our happiness and our energy. In the rush of life, even very clever, well-educated people neglect this. Your life’s purpose isn’t to work for other people’s happiness and wealth; it’s to live for your own happiness. That’s the real goal. However stressful and tiring your daily life is, please remind yourself of this at every opportunity.
“Okay, we’ve decided to raise our energy. But how do I do it when my energy isn’t high at all right now?” Don’t worry. Once you truly want it, the rest is easy. Do you really want to change things in your life from today and start broadcasting on a higher frequency? Is high energy just something you’re “interested in,” or a goal you’ll “commit yourself to”? If it’s just something you’re interested in, you’ll only do what suits you. If it’s a goal you’re committed to, you’ll do whatever it takes. Life doesn’t favour the “casually interested”; it favours the committed. So I’d like a promise from you. From today, let your happiness and energy level be your top priority in life. Promise?
I’ll ask again — promise?

Good. Now let’s look at what we’re going to do.
Start the Day Well

This is the most important one. You’ve experienced it countless times: the way you start the day is usually the way it goes. As soon as you get up, fifteen minutes of exercise, followed by a lovely shower and a delicious breakfast with some upbeat music, will set you up beautifully. Treat yourself like a guest waking up in a luxury hotel and coming down to the lobby. Lately I’ve been getting up at 5 a.m. every day, spending 30 minutes running outside and showering, 20 minutes reviewing my goals and planning my day, and 20 minutes learning. It makes me feel wonderful and keeps my energy high for a long time. You don’t have to copy exactly what I do — but the better you start the day, the bigger a celebration it will be.
Be Grateful

Gratitude is a wonderful thing. Be grateful for what’s going well in your life. It shifts your focus to the good and the beautiful. If you focus on the bad, you’ll see more of what’s going wrong — and, through your subconscious, attract more bad events and people into your life. If you focus on the good and the beautiful, you’ll start seeing more good things in your life. Take five minutes every morning to write down — or say out loud — a few things you’re grateful for today.
For example:
- I’m grateful that I’m healthy.
- How lucky I am to have a home.
- I’m grateful for my wonderful friendships.
- How lucky I am to have time to learn and grow.
- I’m grateful that a wonderful day is waiting for me today.
Dance

Dancing is a wonderful part of human nature. Dance a lot. As you dance, the stiffness will leave you and you’ll come alive. Your energy will flow much more freely. Laughing — even belly-laughing — will come much more easily. Dance until you’re giddy with joy. Put some music on and just move. You don’t need lots of money or people working for you to do it. Being healthy is enough.
Laugh More
Don’t ration your laughter into small slots in your life. Live your life between laughs and smiles. Take every opportunity to laugh. Bored at home? Burst out laughing — see if it hurts! You don’t need a reason to laugh.

Make Time to Learn
Don’t neglect your own growth. Even your smartphone and your computer programs get updated again and again. Do you think you don’t need updating? You need it more than anything. Please spend at least 20 minutes a day learning something new. Ordinary people have big televisions; extraordinary people have big libraries… Move yourself forward every day. Remember: even if you’re on the right road, you’ll get run over if you just stand there!

Check Your Energy Throughout the Day
In daily life, let your happiness and energy level be what matters most. Just as a patient’s temperature is checked regularly, remember to check your energy now and then. If it’s dragging along the floor, pull yourself together straight away and ask, “How can I raise my energy right now?” — then smile and warm up the room with your wonderful energy.
Well, it looks as though we have no excuse left for not keeping our energy high and being happy. And since I’ve had your “promise,” it means we’ll be seeing many more wonderful, high-energy people around.
So what are you waiting for? Go and enchant people with your energy wherever you go.
You’re wonderful!
